Parkway Town Center
Alberto & Associates led the master-planning and architectural design of the 80 acre town center development located on a former General Motors plant in Ewing Township, NJ. The massive redevelopment project sits adjacent to the SEPTA West Trenton transit line and will serve as the initial phase of an economic renaissance for the area. Alberto & Associates and Lennar were selected to redevelop the site though an RFP process led by RACER Trust, a group organized by the US Government to remediate and relinquish derelict properties formerly owned by General Motors. The project is a public/private partnership between Ewing Township, RACER, and Lennar.
The site will contain of a mix of uses including retail, office and residential uses. The residential units will consist of a mix of for-sale townhomes and stacked town homes with rental apartments located above the retail in the mixed-use town center buildings and separate apartment structures. The density of the development will allow for the creation of pocket parks for each neighborhood and the preservation of adjacent open space along a stream corridor.
